Echoes of Pendle Hill

Pendle Hill is steeped in history, and I was thinking about the people who have lived in this area and also observed this vista.  So within this painting is collage of text taken from books about the Pendle witch trials incorporated within the trees, water and stream … these voices from the past are echoed through the landscape of judgements made on woman of the past. Painted with acrylic and with collage, measuring 74 x 54 cm.  Presented unframed and dispatched in a sturdy tube, ready for you to frame for the perfect place within your room.
