Janet Mayled is a full-time professional artist and is known for her vibrant paintings of everyday. Janet has recently been made a member of NAPA ( National Acrylic Painters Association).

Janet has won several awards for her work with the most recent being shortlisted for the British Art Prize 2025 and exhibited at the Oxo Gallery, London. Janet gained a BA Hons in Textile Design in 1985 and has been exhibiting and teaching since, with her focus on painting and developing her practice.

Janet has written three articles about her inspiration and use of materials and published in ‘The Artist magazine’.  Janet’s paintings feature in ‘Manchester through the eyes of the artist’ published by Bloomsbury in 2025
